I want to tell you a story and we kinda made this up from a lot of clients that I have talked to over the years…..

I’ve seen my fair share of good and bad DJs. However, one particular experience stands out in my mind as the worst. It was the day of my client’s wedding, and everything was going smoothly until the reception began.

The DJ arrived late, disheveled, and without the proper equipment. I immediately knew this was going to be a problem. As he started setting up, I noticed that his equipment was old and outdated. It was clear that this was not going to be a good night.

The reception began, and the DJ started playing music that was completely inappropriate for the occasion. He played heavy metal music during dinner, and when it was time for the first dance, he played a completely different song than what my clients had requested. The dance floor was empty, and the guests were confused.

As the night went on, things only got worse. The DJ continued to play the wrong music, and his transitions were awkward and poorly timed. At one point, he even stopped the music mid-song to make an announcement that nobody could hear.

It was clear that my clients had chosen a very bad DJ for their wedding. I immediately went into damage control mode and tried to salvage the situation as best I could. I asked the DJ to play some more appropriate music, and I even helped him with his transitions.

Despite my efforts, the damage had already been done. The reception was not the fun, upbeat celebration that my clients had envisioned. Instead, it was a dull and awkward affair, with guests leaving early and feeling disappointed.

Looking back on this experience, I realized just how important it is to choose the right DJ for your wedding. A good DJ can make all the difference, creating a fun and memorable experience for you and your guests. However, a bad DJ can ruin the entire night and leave you feeling disappointed and let down.

Let’s finish this all up, when planning your wedding, take the time to carefully choose your DJ. Look for someone with experience, professionalism, and a good reputation. Don’t make the same mistake my clients did and choose a bad DJ. Your wedding day is too important to leave to chance, and with the right DJ, you can ensure that your reception is a night to remember for all the right reasons.

Now yes that is kinda made up, but just kinda. There are bad DJ’s out there and good ones out there. We at PMJ Event Group just hope that you choose the right one for your event.
